Images from life and film pass very quickly, but we often attach our minds to certain frames. These “stills” can sometimes endlessly repeat in our own dreams, memories and created fictions. This work is an attempt of preserving those images that linger in my head—a way of slowing them down. My use of repetition and layering is a literal way to show how moments can echo themselves.
I’ve enjoyed watching these series from James’ Flickr stream the past few months. Especially dig the palette, use of repetition and impeccable taste in cinema. The series flows nicely with his other work. Take a look below.
