Submissions Now Open for October, 2009 Show – The Crowdsourced Edit

Posted by Bryan Formhals on October 01, 2009

We are changing it up a bit this month. We’re not going to have a set theme. Instead we’re going to a bit looser with what we let into the submission pool and then at the end of the month, anyone who feels the desire to make an edit can do so through the Flickr Galleries feature.  Anyone who wants to submit an edit for consideration will be able to do so through a discussion thread our Flickr page. From there, we’ll select one edit as the official edit.  If it goes well, we’ll probably highlight a few others as well.

So, why do this?  I think it’s interesting to see how different people interpret a group of photographs. We have some great tools available that allow us to easily bookmark, curate, and edit photographs that we like.  So, this month will be the month that we crowdsource the official LPV edit. It should be interesting.
